After Blue Café’s owners Patti and Paul Frank sold the Blue Cafe earlier this summer, the anticipation of new restaurant has been building. According to a Facebook message to their supporters the Franks said, “We are happy to announce that our Blue Cafe is now proudly owned by Kerry Greco of Market Street Grille West Chester.”
Green Street Grill, as the new Downingtown location has been name, is said to offer the same menu as Blue Cafe until sometime in Oct when patrons may start to see similar offerings to the West Chester location. The Franks praised Greco as “an exceptional person” and encouraged their supporters to come out and support him.
The Franks originally opened Blue Cafe (named after the color of Patti’s eyes) in 2004. They had spent three and a half years looking for a place of their own after being in the hospitality business for 20yrs. When Milltown Market (the shopping center home to the restaurant) opened the Franks decided it was their time. According to Paul, “we had a vision and this fit right in.” Paul said that it was always part of their 10 year plan to build the restaurant and then move on to their next adventure after so many years.
